undecided endings part 4 The town of Dirwing was large by most standards. The fields alone that skirted it reached for miles in every direction. Huge tracts of land filled with produce of every kind stretched as far as the eye could see. It was no surprise that the harvest was so celebrated. It was because of it that the town could be called one of the wealthiest in the western realm. People came from miles around to be a part of the festivities and join in the bounty of the harvest.
We entered the bustling town in the late afternoon, just as the

undecided endings part 3     When I awoke, it was midmorning, our little camp had been neatly packed, and I knew we were once again moving on.  Adela stood some distance away, tying the last of the packs and checking to see if she had missed anything; I didn’t see Rowan anywhere.
     “Good morning,” Adela said without looking up, “how did you sleep?”
     I sat up and looked around at the place that had been our home the last night, baffled at how undisturbed it looked as we prepared to take our leave.

undecided endings part 1 I had set out some time ago in search of firewood that would last us the night, and to find the small cluster of apple trees we had passed earlier that day, before we made camp. After quite some time, I gathered a bundle large enough to last us long enough and started back toward my friends and the food that waited there. The sun had long since sunk below the tree line and the woods were beginning to come alive, as they often do at night. The chorus of sounds was music to my ears as I walked along through the leaf-strewn wood with my bundle.
