undecided endings part 8 I dug through my pack for my change of clothes, thankful that I had not been wearing my winter clothes, and had something warmer to change into. My thick woolen dress was felt rough against my skin as I pulled it on, but I immediately felt warmer, just having dry clothes on. I noticed, however, that the sleeves were not quite as long as they should be, and smiled to myself. Maybe I'm not as short as Rowan says I thought. undecided endings part 7 When I awoke, bright rays of sunlight streamed through the slats in the shutters, and noise drifted up from the streets below. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the small room. Our packs were in the corner and a small pile of folded blankets lie on the floor beside the straw bed on which I lay. Adela had long since gone. I sat up and allowed my eyes to adjust to the light as I tried to recall the events of the night before. The crowd grew silent, waiting for the lord to address them and announce the beginning of the celebration. After a pause, he stood and faced the people, a wide smile on his face and excitement in his eyes.
"Tonight," he said, his deep voice carrying loudly over the hoards of people, "marks the beginning of the harvest celebration."
A loud cheer greeted his statement.
